Agility class video

Lavi finished her first session of Level 1 agility class last night. She is doing great but now we have to wait until the new year for class to start up again.

Matt, Doug and Susan came to class to watch. Lavi was very excited to have them there...kind of like the kindergarten recitals with the kids waving to their families the whole time and picking their noses. She did get into her groove after a while.

Here is a video of one of her runs.

Guest book

As a thank you to Susan and Doug for letting us stay in their beach house, I made them a guest book to keep there.

Materials used: Daisy Bucket Designs Wonderous World patterned paper (100% recycled), Bazzill Basics brown chipboard letters, misc mat board, Cloud 9 clear rain dots, misc flowers, Ranger Ink Glossy Accents, misc ribbon, Bind it all.

Weekend getaway

Matt, Lavi and I took a short trip to the coast last weekend. It was perfect timing to see the leaves changing colors in Tillamook forest.

Matt and Lavi in front of the Tillamook Forest Center.

And since this was Matt's first time to Tillamook, we had to stop at the cheese factory for some ice cream...yummm...pumpkin.

We stayed at Susan and Doug's house in Netarts. Lavi got to visit Happy Camp again and run like a crazy dog.

She practically ran herself into the ground. She loves the beach and the sand between her toes.

We woke up to a beautiful sunny and windless day. First we walked down to the edge of Netarts Bay to look for some birds.

Then to Cape Meares. Here is the view of Three Arches from the other side.

Here's Matt and Lavi on the Bayocean spit (a stretch of land between the ocean and Tillamook Bay).

And on the way home, we stopped in Tillamook forest again because it was so darn pretty.

Not a bad weekend getaway (for the three of us at least...poor Namir had to spend it in the basement since we can't trust him in the whole house anymore while we are gone.)

Circle flip book of Lavi

Here is a flip book I just completed for Matt to put on his desk at the office. The title page says "LAVI, OUR LITTLE YELLOW FLOPPY EARED DOG".

I used the following materials: Basic Grey Granola paper, Hambley screen print transparency, Hambley rub ons, StazOn White ink, Inkadinkadoo clear letter stamps, Martha Stewart pen and the Bind-it-all.

Mom's 60th Birthday Album

I finally edited the photos of the album I made my mom for her 60th birthday. I really enjoyed making this album and even tried several new techniques.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Week of Me...BOOK

I finally finished the book I started with all of last week's pictures. This was a new experience for me in several ways. I have never really done a book about me, it is usually about others or Matt and I, but never me and especially my own journaling. This was also my first time really hybrid scrapbooking (doing both digital and traditional cut and paste). I created the day layouts and photo grids in PSE6. This was also the first time I stuck to only a few pieces of patterened paper and used them throughout the book.

So here are the details: SEI preservation album 8x8, KI Memories cardstock, Chatterbox patterened paper, October Afternoon Rubons, Technique Tuesday number stamps, Maya Road chipboard letters, American Crafts Thickers, Darice mirror squares, Creative Memories black pen, American Crafts brown pen, Marvy corner rounder, Creative Memories decorative corner rounder, misc ribbon and buttons.

I am sorry about the colors of the photos. The lighting was bad but the white is suppose to be white.

I am glad it is done since Matt is coming home today :) hopefully for good. Now all of you can have a better understanding of what it is like to be unemployed....

Our 2-year anniversary with Lavi

It was two years ago today that Lavi entered our lives. I think we feel luckier than she does.

Here are some pictures of our baby Lavi on that faithful day.

Namir may not have felt as lucky as we did but they have come to be friends.

Saturday

I enjoyed the rain and wind today...Lavi enjoyed it when it stopped. She got to play with her friends Sophie and Cooper, Namir got a new toy and I got some scrapbooking done. Also the book I ordered months ago as a gift for Susan's birthday finally arrived.

Tomorrow...the Chargers are finally on TV up here.
