Agility

Here are some pictures from Lavi's agility class today. Normally we have class on Tuesday nights but because of Christmas we moved class to Wednesday afternoon this week. Franklin's dad was there taking some pictures.

Here we are working on the weave poles.

Rewarding Lavi for a job well done

Jumping

So far we have worked on many of the obstacles including the jumps, tunnel, A-frame, dog walk, weave poles and just started the teeter-toter. Lavi loves it and does very well in the class.

Fleas Navidad

Here is a cute little box I made for Lavi's friends. Inside I included a ziplock bag filled with freeze dried chicken livers (Lavi's favorite). Here are step by step directions for the box.

I used a snowflake stamp (Joann's) with Versamark on the red cardstock. The "Fleas Navidad" graphic and words were created in Photoshop, printed on cream cardstock, and matted on old olive cardstock (Stampin Up). I used a black ink pad to distress the edges of the tag, label and mat. The bone tag was also created in Photoshop, cut by hand and distressed. I also used the Crop-a-dile to attach a pewter eyelet. Finally brown raphia was used to tie the box shut. Amazingly, these boxes were very quick to make. They were a huge hit!

Holiday Wreath Card

Here is my second card for the holidays. This one was easy to put together except for the bows. I need to get better at making pretty bows. For this card I used a star patterned paper (Joann's) with an old olive mat (Stampin Up). The red circles were cut from a red cardstock (Joann's) that was embossed using a snowflake stamp (Joann's). The photos were matted on a green vellum (don't remember where from). I used 3-D foam ahesive for the photo circles. The green ribbon came from Michael's. I wrote our names with an old olive pen (Stampin Up).

First tote bag

Here is a tote I made for a hanukkah gift I am giving. I needed something that would fit a long slim box. I found this idea and template on Splitcoast Stampers. It was very easy to make. I also wanted to try out my new purple glitter mist. I sprayed the mist onto purple cardstock for the handles. It is very shimmery and irradescent in person. I also used in on the tag. I created a mask with a "j" chipboard over top the Samantha Crate paper. I used the heat tool to help it dry faster. I was suprised to see that I could emboss on it as well. Gotta love those new toys!!

And here is Namir always helping out.

Holiday Tranquilizers and Button Tree

I decided to make some small gifts for my mom and my mother-in-law. I got some great ideas from Splitcoast stampers and modified them. The first are Hanukkah and Christmas tranquilizers. I found the jars and the ribbon at Michael's. I printed the label on vellum and attached with glue dots and then filled them with peanut M&Ms.

I also made a button tree. I got this idea from Two Peas in a Bucket.
I bought the foam tree, buttons, pins and star base at Joann's and found the star topper at Michael's. I made the "ornaments" from cardstock and heat embossed with glitter.

Hanukkah Cards

I have mailed most of my Hanukkah cards! These were fun to make but very time consuming. Everybody has loved them, which makes it worth it.

Stay tuned for the Christmas cards - almost finished.

Holiday season

The holidays have come on quickly. Lavi is enjoying all of the yummy smells and food from the kitchen and Namir is usually found not to far away either. Lavi decided she did not like the black peppercorn that fell on the floor that made her sneeze. Namir knew better. Here are some pictures of Lavi and Namir on Thanksgiving.

I have enjoyed making my Hanukkah cards (with Namir's help of course).

I usually find time to work on them during the Chargers games on Sundays. Matt and Lavi can usually be found curled up in the recliner.
