We attended our last agility class here in San Diego. We will miss our classmates: Franklin, Camden and the amazing Cody (and of course their human folk). Lavi still loves it and waits anxiously at the door when it is time to go to class. Thus far, she does great on the dog walk, A-frame, jumping grid and tire jump. She is also quickly picking up the weave poles and the teeter toter. Her one "hurdle" we are still working on is the tunnel! She was very hesitant at first and then she was zipping through with no problems...until this last class when daddy was there. I am so excited to show him how great she does and then I send her through the tunnel. She tops midway, makes a bunch of circles, and then BAM - hauls ass out of the tunnel, out of the field and into the dark parking lot. This never happened before and Matt and I look at each other and say "Where is our dog". We run out to the parkign lot to look for her but by that time she made it back to field and was begging everyone for treats. Ann, the instructor grabbed her and all was well. Needless to say, it was very weird! But she did great the rest of the class and we are so proud of her.
Here are a few shots of her jumping through the tire. This was the very first agility obstacle we learned.
Here we are keeping warm learning more about the weave poles.
We look forward to finding another agility class and instructor in Portland!!

Portland!
Well, the time has come and we are moving to Portland, Oregon in early February. We just got back from a short visit to find a place to live. With much fate involved, we found a lovely home near downtown. Although a little on the cold side, the weather was not as bad as expected. We will have to relearn how to bundle up.
Here is Matt in downtown Portland. You may not be able to see it but there is a rare glimpse of the moon on this unusually clear day.
I took some time to meet the local critters. A friendly beaver and stellar sea lion.
And look - the Pacific Ocean is only 82 miles away!
Upon our return, we broke the news to the pets. Namir was indifferent but Lavi was a little distraught. She is either going to have to put on some more weight or get used to wearing a fleece sweater!! Here she is with a new hat!

NYE
Happy New Year! So far 2008 is getting off on the right foot. We even had a nice New Year's Eve with some friends.
Here is Matt...actually outside of the house on NYE!
Me and my friend/co-worker Kellie.
Me and Matt's friend Ruben.
Lavi after the stroke of midnight...giving us a preview of what we are going to look like in the morning.
Our little family starting off the New Year...nothing could be better.
And when dreams come true.................
I have not had that much time to make anything new lately. I hope to work on some Thank you cards and Namir's scrapbook in the very near future.
Hope you have a great 2008!!
